The Minister of Basic Education has issued out directions regarding the re- opening of schools and measures to address, prevent and combat the spread of COVID -19 in the National Department of Basic Education, all provincial education departments, all education district offices and all schools in the republic of South Africa. Business is seeking input into the document and is asking members to state their position on the ability of the workforce to return to work in the absence of adequate childcare. 

Please find attached hereto the Basic Education Directive. Members are requested to provide input into the attached to Nozizwe Ndhlovu (Nozizwen@sacci.org.za ) by no later than close of Business, Thursday, 4 June 2020.
