Rhulani Nhlaniki, Pfizer’s cluster lead for sub-Saharan Africa and country manager for South Africa, and President of the Innovative Pharmaceutical Association of South Africa (IPASA), has been elected as vice chairperson of the Pharmaceutical Task Group (PTG). The Pharmaceutical Task Group (PTG) is an umbrella body representing more than 80% of pharmaceutical businesses in South Africa.
Having previously held a number of leadership positions throughout his career, Nhlaniki is looking forward to supporting the PTG chairperson and the PTG executive committee in carrying out the strategic objectives of the group.
The PTG promotes growth and investment in the South African pharmaceutical industry and interacts with relevant stakeholders.
Nhlaniki says IPASA is an active participant in the Pharmaceutical Task Group. “I look forward to articulating the association’s position on key issues to drive forward our mission of promoting access to innovative healthcare for all South Africans. I am honoured to accept this position within the PTG which will afford me the opportunity to further facilitate collaboration among key stakeholders in the industry with a view to achieving our common goals.”
